Saving Ducklings

My daughter's favorite thing to do is talk and boy can she ever. She has always been a talker. She was an early walker and talker. This past Sunday my son and I left the house early for a walk down to the local Starbucks. My daughter and husband were going to follow later. The moment they arrived at Starbucks she was rattling off a story about saving ducklings. Apparently, as they headed to the trail at the end of the street there was a mother duck and two ducklings hanging out near a storm drain. My husband heard a lot of peeping coming from the drain and sure enough 8 babies had fallen through the grate. Their hero took the grate off and scooped them out to reunite with their mother. Daddy saved the day! My daughter had to tell everyone that we saw that day the whole story. Needless to say, she was very proud of her dad.
