The 2nd child seems to get pushed to the side when it comes to mommy and me classes. I finally have signed my son up for a baby and me class at the gym. I had my daughter in it as soon as she was old enough, which was half the age my son is now. Poor thing!
He loves the class. He just runs around climbing and jumping on everything like he owns the joint. He has been going to the same building since birth to drop off and pick up his older sister at preschool. The other moms in the class can't believe how good he is on his feet with running for his age. I just say, "Well he has been walking since 9 months of age." For you that don't know him, he is now 17 months old. He almost has been walking for half his life.
His favorite things in class are the balls and the basketball hoop. Our neighbor boys are always outside shooting hoops and he loves to go out there and watch and sometimes takes their balls. I did buy him a real basketball the other day. When we got home he was so proud to show the boys his basketball. I think that he was just happy to have his own and not have to play with this sister's pink ball anymore. I guess that I will be looking for a Little Tykes basketball hoop for out house.
