Whatever Works

I was just kidding around with the neighbor Judi about putting a sign up on Steve's house. I made a sign asking him to mow and weed the yard or have it done. I taped it to the side of the house next to the garage door. I really just wanted to look in the windows and see what the inside of the house looked like. I peeked in and saw, to my surprise, that the house was clean and organized. I talked to Judi later and said that I should take the sign down and just get the homeowner association president involved. Judi said she would take down the sign since she lives next door. I emailed the president that night and also called the police about the noise level coming out of the house. Steve had his music loud and with the weather so warm we have the windows open. My children were having a hard time sleeping with the loud music coming in their windows. Terry and I were watching a movie and heard him yelling at someone, I just figured he was yelling at the police. In the morning I noticed his truck still in the driveway. I thought maybe he got hauled into jail. That was not the case, he was home to meet with a lawn care company. Judi forgot to take down the sign! Needless to say, the company came today to mow and weed the yard. It looks much better, but now all the plants have been pulled out. He has no flowers or plants left in his yard. I guess I can't complain. All he needed was someone to tell him what to do and who better than me.
