July 4th and Back to the Norm

It always seems to be a grand event, July 4th. This year was not the case. We hung out most of the day in the warm weather. Around 4 o'clock we headed to my parents for dinner. We had ribs and salad, yummy! I tried to let off fireworks that Terry and my daughter bought, but both kids cried. Some friends with their two daughters and two other couples came over to watch the Haggens' firework display. Same as usual, but neighbors on both sides of my parents had fantastic displays. My kids got over the loud booms and my son fell asleep outside in the stroller. The weather was great but there sure were a lot of mosquitoes. We were home and in bed by midnight.

Today the weather has changed and we are back to being busy. No school today. The tree man was here to cut limbs off the tree, the cable man was here to fix whatever was wrong with it and I just ordered a book online for a class I am taking at WWU. Come to find out, they might cancel the class. That is just great! My mother-in-law is coming up to watch the kids that week and I already ordered the book. That is pretty typical of how things go for me now a days.
