The funeral service for my Grandma started at 11:00 Tuesday morning. Terry and I arrived early to greet guests. I was surprised to see so many people attend! Emotional times make me nervous, which for me is rare. I am not able to control my tears at sad events, I did find myself tearing up a few times but for the most part I was laughing at the stories and memories shared about my Grandmother. My aunt Trish, my cousin Molly, my Grandma's best friend Bonnie and an old bartender shared some great stories. It made me realize that even though my mother and her siblings had a very odd and dysfunctional up bringing my Grandma knew how to have fun and laugh. After over a month of constant worries and decisions, I think that yesterday was great end to it all.
Both of my mother's sisters came over for dinner last night and we all had a pleasant time, which is unusual. I am feeling a little bad about stating they suck in the last post, so I will change it to they sucked when it came to helping my mom with their mother.
Tip of the Day: Laughter does heal the heart and burns calories at the same time, so laugh more often.

I'm glad that you and your family were able to share some laughs together. Laughter does help! And it's so great that you are focusing on the "positives" of of a not-so-positive situation.
