Friday was spent at Stoney Ridge Farm with Reece's Kindergarten class. I drove out with Fredy to help. I was in charge of Reece and another girl from her class, along with Fredy. I believe that I was given this child for a reason because the other two students who are wild were with the teacher. I must admit that this girl is a girl we have continuing conversations about at home. Reece is not allowed to play with her during, "work around the room time." She is always getting a time out and talking too about her actions and choices.
It was the first week of school that I spotted this girl and sure enough Reece was playing at the same center and got a talking to from the teacher. So, that night at dinner I named off a few classmates she was not allowed to play with, this girl being one of them.
Now, having experienced a half day with her I am feeling a little bad about not letting Reece play with her. She really was sweet and just starving for attention. There were alot of parents on the field trip so I asked her where her mom was (I do not think there is a dad). She said she had to work. I took a ton of pictures that I am going to print at Costco for her to keep. Everywhere we went on the farm she wanted me to take a picture of her, even if it was with my 2 children. I am beginning to think she is an only child.
She listened well and behaved great......until we returned to school. During "work around the room time" she got another time out. Small groups are her thing, but I am still suggesting to Reece not to play with her during that time in the room.
Tip of the Day: get time off for the special events in your child's life..it only happens once.
