2 More Hiccups

When Terry leaves for a business trip, I usually try to make a count down visual for the children. More times than I can count, I have used Post-it Notes with numbers on them. Reece takes down the even numbers, while Fredy tears down the odd numbers.
Since Reece was little we have always used the term "wake ups" to refer to how many more days until something happens or a play date occurs,i.e. 3 more wake ups until Thanksgiving. Now Fredy is catching on and wants to use the term also. Yesterday, he told my mother, "Daddy comes home in 2 more hiccups."

From now on the term will be "hiccups" instead of "wake ups".

Tip of the day: Patience is a never ending battle as a parent, so practice every time you interact with your children.
