Collection Fair

Today all the 1st graders showed off their collections at school. Reece was so excited. She was up an hour early and could not wait to get to school. Each student had a booklet that they made in computer lab. Inside the booklet they had a diagram with labels, a story about their collection and something else they wrote about, ie...a story.

As you can see and probably guess if you know Reece, she showed off her collection of Littlest Pet Shops, with the help of her dad and I making the display shelves. I wish I had a picture of her face when the other classes came to look at all the collections. She was really nervous when some of the girls started playing with the pets!!!!

I was really impressed with all the students collections. Some had toys, books, coins, rocks, shells, stamps, pins, ribbons and bottle caps. I thought they all did a great job since they had to stand by their collection for 1 1/2 hours to answer questions that students and teachers asked.


Tip of the day: Read everything that comes home from school, you never know what information you might need to know.
