Waterfront
Since it was Sunday and things were slow at work, Terry took me on a tour of the plant. After lunch, which consisted of sweet chili fries, we took a taxi to the waterfront. I would compare it to Bellingham's rocky shoreline and not much beach. It was very beautiful though. There are a lot of little islands close to the mainland, again like the San Juans. We took a tour of an old Navy ship and walked around some exhibition centers, but most of what was there was not in English. We did walk around the little seaside town and saw some fisherman and boats. Not anything like the Vis nor anything like George. I believe these men have spent way too much time at sea with drink!
We did happen to go to an Irish pub the other night. It was nice to mingle and talk with English speaking visitors. The man who owes the bar with a Korean, since foriengers can't own property here, came to teach 10 years ago and he never left.
I think today will consist of lunch and then taxi to center of town to take some pictures of their wonderful parks.
Bonus: very helpfull hotel staff
Minus: sky is never really blue, desert sand in air (I think it is pollution)!
Korean tip of the day: know how to say frequently used phrases in Korean
