We went tent camping for the first time as a family this past weekend. We had a lot of fun catching tadpoles, fishing, canoeing and roasting marshmallows. Our plan was to stay for 2 nights, but after the first night of a torrential down pour and a day of fun, a lightening, rain and wind storm came in on Saturday and made things a little damp for another night.
We left our friends Saturday night after roasted marshmallows in the fireplace of their cabin. Sunday consisted of drying out all our gear. We had a great time and the weather could not have been much worse. We are looking forward to our next trip but will wait for summer to arrive.
