Our trip to Bakersfield consisted of shaving goats and pigs, along with getting the animal stalls ready for the Kern County Fair, which our niece was participating in. Since we have been home my daughter has been preparing stalls for her stuffed animals for the fair and getting them ready to show. She has been asking for a goat stuffed animal, which surprisingly we do not have one in the hundreds that we have. Today, I had to go to TJ Max and Ross to look for king size pillows and then to Haggens for a few groceries. My daughter went with me in hopes of finding a goat. After looking through all the animals at both stores she settled on a dog. Heading to the check out at Haggens she yells, "Mom, look there is a goat." Sure enough in the Floral department on a shelf was a goat. She informed me that she could get the goat and her brother could have the dog since we did not get him anything. As soon as we got home she was in her room making and decorating a stall for Billy the Kid.
Do you see that I have a county girl at heart, which is weird because she comes from a total city chick mom.
