My son Fredy is into basketball like a teenage boy is into girls. He sleeps, eat and breathes basketball. This week we took both children to a high school basketball game. Fredy, who is just 2 years old, sat there in ahh and watched everything while taking it all in. The gym was packed and the band played. At half time he would have gone down to the court to shoot baskets if he had a ball. We did not take one just for that reason. We usually take a basketball everywhere we go. The kid dribbles one at the grocery store, the bank, down the sidewalk and to the neighbors.
Saturday morning we all went out to Ferndale to watch our neighbor play in a tournament. Again, Fredy was in ahh. This time he took a ball and wanted to shoot hoops after the game, but the next game was scheduled to start in a few minutes. Let's just say as we left he threw a big tantrum on the floor like a two year old does. Hopefully that behavior will be gone when he gets to the NBA.
