Terry nor I have ever been to Harrison Hot Springs. We have talked about it but life got to us with kids, work and school. Now that both my children are old enough for my parents to have over night and with Terry turning 40, I thought I would plan a weekend get away for his birthday. A surprise for him. It is not a surprise anymore! It was going to happen this weekend, but now it is just a thought. I had to cancel our weekend because my grandma has fallin' ill and is hospitalized. So his 40th Birthday surprise will have to wait for another time, which means probably likely to happen sometime in the next decade. I have waited 7 years for a honeymoon and I still have not had one. I hate to admit it but this weekend get away was not just for Terry but for me too. I have not been away from children over night, except for one time before I became pregnant with Fredy.
Someday I will get away even if I have to go myself!
Tip of the Day: Don't let the rain get you down--a trip to Walmart helps.

ReplyDeleteOh Kim...I feel for you! Life has a way of creeping up on us and sometimes the timing couldn't be worse. But don't write it off. Just "post-pone" it. You can still surprise Terry -especially if it's just some random day when he's least expecting it.
