Funeral, Family and Fun?

After suffering from a stroke in early March, my grandmother AnnaMae passed away Thursday morning. She had been suffering in the hospital the whole time. I went to see her a few of times and my children saw her a few days before she passed. In these situations, I hate to say it, but with all pain she was in it is a blessing that she passed. She was not going to recover and my mother was making most of the decisions. Fortunately, my mom is the black sheep of her family. She has 3 siblings, and for a lack of better words, I my opinion they suck! Anyway, the funeral is on Tuesday morning and one of my mother's sisters is flying in tonight. My mom and her other sister spent this morning going through pictures for a slide show at the funeral home. I stopped by later to look at the ones they picked out and oh course got some good laughs. I did find one that I would have put in the show with my grandparents sitting outside around a picnic table smoking with a case of Rainer beer on the table. My mom did not agree with me, so that picture stayed in the album.

Funerals suck and sometimes family but at least we can get some laughs out of both.

Tip of the day: When help is needed, step up to the plate and offer it.
